First 2 days of our 3 Star kayaking course
Ahhh... it was just like a while back when i passed my 2 star course. Attending this 3 Star course is all that exciting to us. One of the biggest difference in this course is meeting new people from different backgrounds. In 1 and 2 star course, we meet people who are just having fun or just wanting to know what kayaking is about. Many of them do not have an innate desire to kayak but go just to "learn a little more".
The 3 star kayaking course found us new friends. Friends of all ages. This makes the whole kayaking course all the more fun! Haha.. esp with a little kiddo...
Another interesting thing? Kiddo, 2 others, my brother and I are all from NPCC... That makes half the course an "NPCC activity". WHole lot fall in...!
So we have 1 HO, 2 CI, 1 CPL, 1 Pte. That's almost a full unit! *I'm not gonna say any name here because i wont know if anyone wants their privacy kept.*
Then, we have a friend who is so cool! He started kayaking in the navy. Now how cool is that! He is also experienced in reading sea charts and other sea and ship related stuff. Another friend sells gold for a leaving.. fwhoooo... with gold prices going up, we got a rich friend in the sea!! *hope i dont get killed for saying this.. hehe* anyway, he too is good at reading the waves and have traveled on relatively huge expeditions. One more friend is often quiet, and kind. He is like the kind uncle you'd like to have. Hmmm... I dont know too much about him yet, but a quick search around tells me he sits on quite a high place in SIM, i think related to toast masters club or something? Just 2 days and it is always great to know more friends who have so much experience and interest in kayaking...
